Puberty occurs throughout teenage years. As the body grows, so does the mind. As the hormones spike sporadically, the body at this age is constantly in adjustment and in discomfort. As a result, it is normal for this age group to struggle in emotional regulation and managing impulses. At the same time, peer pressure grows and identity searches intensify.
This is a critical period in which how it is managed can send one down one of two very different paths: stability or destruction.
Having a supportive mentor or a youth coach who believes in the best of the youth can help them significantly in navigating their way to their desired future.
